CLUB SINGLES ON 7TH JULY
Typical British Summertime weather meant than not all the Semi Finals got played on Sunday! The rain just kept stopping play. A full list of the Finalists will be posted at a later date. Those still to come are as follows;
Saturday 13th July – Men’s Plate starting at either 2.30pm or 5.30pm will be Jiggs Sahota vs Abel Coolen
Wednesday 17th July – Men’s Main Draw, starting at 7pm will be Richard Fay vs Jack Rowland
Saturday 20th July – Men’s Main Draw, starting at 11am will be Mylan Roberts vs Devanshu Jain
NORTH KENT CUP
Monday 1st July, Ros & Oksana represented us in the Ladies Doubles vs Crescent at home. Sadly the ladies lost, but they fought hard and played well, we are very proud of you ladies.
Friday 5th July saw Natalie play in the Ladies Singles against Bromley Wendover, at home. She won 7-6, 6-0, so is now playing in the final. Awesome result Natalie, we are so proud of you.
Saturday 6th July saw Maria & Karen play in the Ladies Vets Doubles Semi Finals against Bexley at home. Huge congratulations, they won 7-5, 6-2. Which sees them progress to the finals.
We will let everyone know when the Finals are being played, incase anyone can go and support Natalie, and Maria & Karen in their Finals. Good Luck Ladies we are super proud of you all.
JUNIOR SUMMER CAMPS
Wow, its almost the kids summer holidays. Tom has put all the dates up on his pages on Clubspark, so you can be super organised and book now. As usual you can book a day or the whole week (4 days). Camps will be happening for five weeks across the holidays And you can of course have non members, family and friends book too. The link to the page is as follows;

WALKING TENNIS SESSIONS
Want to play tennis still but at a slower pace, recovering from injury or are you a complete beginner wanting a bit more time and practice in a supportive setting? Come and try Walking Tennis with us and bring a friend. It’s a slower game, where the ball can bounce twice, there is no jumping or running and you play with modified equipment. Sessions are on Tuesdays at 12noon till 13.00. £3 for members and £5 for non members. Go to Tom’s page on Clubspark to book a place:

SUMMER TEAM NEWS & RESULTS
Good Luck to all our teams playing in their up coming matches, hopefully this rain might subside at some point and let us have a glimpse of Summer!
North Kent
Men’s 1 lost 6-4, 3-3 away to Bromley Wendover 1. It was a tough match. The team playing were Richard Fay, Fin Renwick, Tim Morgan and Max Saunders.
Over 60’s Men’s drew 4-4 away against Crescent. Still in the top three in their league, with a few games to go. Well played team, Greg Gadd, Hessam Khoshnevisan, Rob Thomas and John Fielding. Thanks for the photo.
Ladies 2 beat Park Langley 3 Away, 6.2, playing indoors which was great as they avoided the rain. It was a marathon match and didn’t finish till 10.30pm!!! The team playing were Marion Tourral Hopkins, Caroline Maponda, Tracy Davy and Ruthie Frost. The team are now sitting top of the league with two clear points and just two matches left to play. Keep going ladies.
Kent
Men’s Vets had a narrow loss to Canterbury 2 Away, they were a tie break away from 2-2, but lost 1-3. The team playing were Tony Millard, John Fielding, Rob Thomas and Neal Tuson. Thanks for the photo too.
Mixed 2 lost 4-0 to s very strong Blackheath 4 team, Away. The team were Jan Are Mo, Tracy Davy, Jo Thomas & Rob Thomas.
Men’s 2 won 3-1 at home against HSBC. The team playing were Ricardo Pinheiro, Tim Morgan, Alex Todd and Jack Andrews. Thanks for the photo guys, loving the England Flags in the background too, very apt for the weekend!
Men’s 1 lost to TWTC 1 Away at the weekend.
Mixed 2 faced some tough and windy conditions with their match against Chipstead Place at Home. They were victorious 4-0. The team playing were Tony Millard, Ruthie Frost, Marion Tourral Hopkins and Rob Thomas.
Men’s 4 beat Freedom Leisure 3 Away, with a result of 4-0. That makes six wins in 6 to win the Division. Amazing Gents, well played. The team were Perry Rich, Dave Robertson, Abel Coolen and Jason Barkworth.
Ladies 2 won 3-1 against Bromley Wendover. Which has them top of the league after their last match of the season. The team playing were Lorna Badham, Lasyk Grice, Lorraine Watts and Alison Farrington. Thanks so much for the picture Ladies.
