IT’S HALF TERM JUNIOR HOLIDAY CAMPS THIS WEEK

It’s May Half Term and there are still a few spaces for this weeks camp which will be running from Wednesday 29th – Friday 31st May, 9am – 3pm each day. You can attend just one day or all three days. Don’t forget Holiday Camps are open to all not just members, so do bring family or friends to join in the fun. You can book a place by using the link below.

The link to enter has been emailed to members, don’t forget to check the Junk folder if you haven’t received it. Please be aware the closing date is next week on SUNDAY 2nd JUNE so don’t delay, remember to enter. You will need to be available all day on the 9th June and finals day Sunday 21st July

AMERICAN TOURNAMENT

Well done to everyone on Sunday, it seemed the showers all morning cleared up in plenty of time to dry out the courts in time for the American Tournament. The winners of the afternoon were Kate Newman & Mike Crestas. Thanks for the photo.

WALKING TENNIS‍ STARTS

Want to play tennis still but at a slower pace, recovering from injury or are you a complete beginner wanting a bit more time and practice in a supportive setting? Come and try Walking Tennis with us and bring a friend. It’s a slower game, where the ball can bounce twice, there is no jumping or running and you play with modified equipment. Our NEW SESSION STARTS ON TUESDAY 21st MAY 12noon till 13.00 and weekly thereafter. The next one will Tuesday 11th June. £3 for members and £5 for non members. SUMMER TEAM NEWS & RESULTS

Good Luck to all our teams playing in their matches this coming week, lots of sunshine and showers.

North Kent Cup

All of these games are in the quarter final stage of the cup.

Arvind Bassi and Tim Morgan lost in the quarter finals of the Men’s Doubles v Park Langley on Friday. It was a tough fought match.

Francesco Donadio and Mark Plonka lost in the Men’s Vets Doubles v Meopham on Friday. It was a tight game, with lots of high quality rallies.

Well done Simone for beating Bexley in the Women ‘s Singles on Saturday, 6-0, 6-0. Awesome result.

Diana Roberts and Ashling Carroll played in the Ladies Doubles  v Sidcup Recreation on Thursday and won 6-0, 6-1. Well done Ladies.

Still to come is the Mixed Doubles v Bromley Wendover on Monday 27th May away away at 6.30pm – Tom Warburton and Oksana Boklag. . Unfortunately Tom and Oksana lost 6-3, 6-1. Hard luck but well played.

Greg Lucas takes on a member of New Ash Green Tennis club in the Men’s singles on Thursday 30th May at home starting at 6.30pm

Maria and Karen will be playing Bromley Wendover in the Ladies Vets Doubles at BW on Sunday 2nd June at 10.00AM.

Mid Week Vets 1 lost to Sundridge Park 2 at Home on Friday. We had three tea members step up due to injuries within the team, so thank you to them. The team that played were Hessam Khoshnevisan, Ashling Carroll, Rob Thomas and Jo Thomas.

Ladies 1 lost to Sundridge Park 1 at Home on Sunday. The team playing were Simone K, Karen Attard, Ros McKeown & Diana Roberts

Kent

Men’s 3 won 4-0 against St Johns 1 at home. The team playing were Jiggs Sahota, Chib Ejiegbu, Perry Rich & Aaron Ruby.

Men’s 1 beat Bromley LTC2 at Home, with a 4-0 win. The team playing were Tom Warburton, Devanshu Jain, Francesco Donadio and Max Saunders.
